A successful weekend to gain competition experience when Lu’s Taekwon-do students attended Newton’s VII Open Championship, hosted by Newton’s Taekwon-Do, along with umpires, instructors and coaches.

Had a great weekend at October Newton’s tournament. As always she and her team put together an amazing event that was geared towards the students of Tae Kwon-Do! This event celebrated the founder General Choi Hung HI’s birthday and the gift of Tae Kwon-Do that he gave all of us. It was an event free of politics and truly showcased what Tae Kwon-Do was created for…to teach, grow, and develop the next generation!

On May 11, in Almonte, Ontario, we welcomed over 300 competitors, coaches, referees, dignitaries, parents and friends from Ontario, Quebec, US, Argentina, Ethiopia, New Zealand, Mexico, Peru, Puerto Rico to 2024 CHITF Taekwon-do World Cup!

This international tournament environment was filled with excitement, smiles, confidence, perseverance, and indomitable spirit. The one day event gave everyone an opportunity to meet, rekindle and/or establish new Taekwon-do brother and sister friendships. Everyone demonstrated their their techniques with skill and precision.

A BIG thank you to the Organizing Committee members and volunteers who worked tirelessly throughout the months ensuring a successful tournament day. In addition, we extend our appreciation to all the schools, instructors, students, umpires and coaches who supported us.
